Press Association Ontoba have been working with the Press Association to define, design, and implement the architecture of a new semantic publishing platform. This has involved ontology engineering, installation of a high performance triple store cluster, and extensive software development to enable the semantic annotation of news, and the subsequent delivery of semantically aggregated news content.
The Ontoba founders were key members of the team that designed and built the BBC Dynamic Semantic Publishing Platform. We are now helping BBC News build a cloud based semantic publishing mini platform to aid rapid prototyping of semantic and geospatially driven news applications during a series of News labs.

Ontoba are working with BBC Monitoring to build a platform to provide for the semantic augmentation and querying of their content.

Using an ontological domain model and machine assisted semantic annotation, relationships between people, organisations, locations  can be surfaced in the source documents, enabling rich and relevant semantic search and aggregation of content to both internal and external consumers.
Ontoba are working with Euromoney Plc to define and implement a new enterprise wide architecture for semantic publishing. Through detailed ontology modelling of the macro-economic and investment finance domains, a deep RDF+OWL enabled knowledge base of hundreds of thousands of linked data entities covering global financial markets, economies, and tradeable instruments has been curated. The new architecture provides for the semi-automatic, machine assisted, semantic annotation of content with these linked data entities directly within the CMS editorial workflow, ultimately providing for rich ontology driven content aggregations and powerful semantic search.
Saxo Bank Ontoba have been providing information architecture and data modelling consultancy to Saxo Bank, applying linked data principles to the financial markets domain to enhance the trading floor product.
Cochrane Ontoba have been working with The Cochrane Collaboration to develop an ontology for evidence based health care . Through workshops and prototyping Ontoba and Cochrane are enhancing Cochrane Systematic Reviews semantically with linked data such that they can be analysed and searched in novel ways, with the aim of ultimately providing a richer experience for users of The Cochrane Library and Cochrane editors globally.
