Ontoba is a consultancy specialising in digital media technical strategy and risk management, and semantic web publishing architectures.
We are a group of very experienced architects and developers with a track record in building high performance architectures for the internet delivery of digital media content. We are passionate about our work and bring this passion to all our projects.

Julian Everett
Julian is a Technical Solutions Architect with a background in building distributed middleware services for financial and digital media organisations. Most recently he worked as Chief Technical Architect for the BBC's international/commercial online services. His current areas of interest include service and ontology contract management techniques, global HTTP-based delivery architecture, and the use of real options to enhance technology risk management. He is a regular conference speaker.

Paul Wilton
Paul is a Software and Technical Architect. He has extensive experience in the technical design and architecture of enterprise scale internet enabled applications, and has a keen interest in data modelling and data architecture. Paul was technical and development lead on the BBC Semantic Publishing platform. This involved the design of the software architecture and the implementation of a robust, high availability semantic web services layer that enabled the dynamic semantic delivery of BBC Sport Online digital media content.

Silver Oliver
Silver is an Information Architect specialising in ontology and domain driven information architectures. Prior to joining Ontoba, he was the Discipline lead of Information Architecture across the BBC, informing strategic direction for the application of data for online publishing. Prior to that role, he was a Metadata Manager for the British Library. He is also the co‐founder of the London Linked Data meet‐up.

Mick Cunningham
Mick is an Agile Programme Manager with a thorough understanding of project management methodologies and software development approaches. Mick has full project lifecycle experience (concept to launch) on multiple multi-million pound projects. His extensive digital media experience dates back to the launch of the Guardian’s New Media Lab in 1995 and ranges from start-ups to blue-chips. He managed the BBC’s Semantic Publishing project from inception, through prototyping to its first full production use for the BBC World Cup 2012 site.
